"Some situations are so worth blaming when we cannot do anything, except being helpless!"
Being helpless is the most worst situation for a successful person. A situation when there is no hope ahead or no path behind. Qalb e Momin too is facing such situation. This episode of Alif left me just speechless! Alif has surpassed all other serials. The start was a little slow but then the last fifteen minutes stole the viewer's heart. I don't know how and when tears came out of my eyes when Momin could not describe his relation with Allah Almighty in front of others. Hamza Ali Abbasi once again proved with his acting skills that he is the right choice for Momin's role. Qalb e Momin had accepted the challenge of Dada and now he has finally announced his spiritually based film. The media conference scene was terrific. Everyone was desperate to find out about the biggest project of Momin's life but contrary to expectations not even a single person stood with him after the announcement. No one was happy. Everyone was just surprised. The example of this conference was like a fish living in a dirty pond that suddenly declare to live in soil. Showbiz industry is not less than a dirty pond. When spirituality will be discussed in front of such people, they will surely say : He who speaks is drunk. It seemed like Momin was not ready to face the whole situation but all of Dada's predictions are coming true. The crowd of people has begun to wane. All the people who used to go crazy to work with Momin are now leaving him alone. His words were not effective because the subject he was talking about did not even know what it means. But yet Momin's pride has not diminished. He still believes that people will not leave him. The most emotional scene of the episode was when Momin was not able to describe his relationship with Allah. At that moment he was at the brink of helplessness. He wanted to speak but could not speak. His eyes were empty and words were gone. What is the relationship with Allah? Just silence in response. Momin is now forced to think that he really has nothing to do with Allah. He was upset while thinking about the dark roads of future. In bad times we always miss the person we truly love. Momin was also remembering Dada. Dada once again proved to be a gift of God for Momin. He send letters to him that remind him about his past. What is the relationship with Allah? These letters will surely answer this question.
Coming to Momina, Faisal came and went. He was not a reward for Momina but a test. Faisal is making a lot of demands from Momina. He wants to customize her. Momina needed a man who understood him but alas! Faisal could not do this. Momina has gone ahead. Success is knocking on her door. But she doesn't think success is her right. He has always worked for others. She is still struggling to break free from the debt burden. Momina is very patient!
In the End, this episode of Alif has stolen my heart. Every single aspect of Alif is perfect. I am proud of the writer and director's approach that they spoke against showbiz. Alif is surely a slap for everyone working in the industry. Hamza Ali Abbasi's facial & hand expressions made every scene more powerful. It seemed like he was dead inside while saying: "Mein bhi bas naam ka Momin hun" Simply Heartbreaking! Life of Momin and Momina sum up in three situations: Silent tears, Empty heart and Helpless soul!
