Islam gave women their rights, we didn’t! By: Uswah E Fatima Many men and a few religious leaders say that there is no need for women to get up for their rights. I studied the matter a bit, and I agree and disagree with them both. I agree that Islam gave so many rights to the female gender that no other civilization ever did. More than 1400 years ago women were given the right to inherit property from several sources when only just 2 centuries ago an English woman could not inherit or own her property. Islam allows women to trade, get as much as education as she wants, speak, and educate.
